The Metropolitan Council in Minnesota is seeking a data-focused professional to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of data scientists, economists, ecologists, sociologists and climate researchers. The role will emphasize database management, data modeling and data integration within the council’s research applications.

The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.

This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.

This position will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of data scientists, economists, ecologists, sociologists, qualitative and climate researchers. Given the business functions and systems specific to the research department, the best-qualified candidates will have technical knowledge and skills in database management systems, data modeling, and data integration.

• Master's degree and 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year performing configurations and modifications within the specific business application
• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, including at least 1 year performing configurations and modifications within the specific business application
• Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, including at least 1 year performing configurations and modifications within the specific business application

Salary Range: $ 88,566.40 - $143,707.20 Annually
