Senior Integration Engineer (API/Cross Enclave), Zero Trust (TS/SCI)
Serve as the technical glue within a Zero Trust architecture at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
Location: Onsite, Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities
- Design and build custom middleware and API connectors to federate identity attributes between Microsoft Entra ID (NIPR), SailPoint (SIPR/Top Secret), and downstream security platforms.
- Engineer secure integration of on‑premise tools (BigID, Kiteworks, Trellix) with the enterprise Splunk instance on SIPR and the Top‑Secret network, ensuring secure data flows.
- Develop logic to inject NIST 8112 metadata attributes into policy decision points (PDP) for dynamic ABAC access control.
- Script and automate data exchange workflows to synchronize the data inventory across hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure) and on‑premise storage (NetApp/QNAP).
- Ensure all cross‑component communications adhere to TLS encryption and mutual authentication in the Top‑Secret environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands‑on experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP APIs, Webhooks, and custom middleware.
- Experience integrating identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID or SailPoint using SAML, OIDC, or SCIM standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for automation.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, API security, and encryption protocols.
Preferred Experience & Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience integrating BigID or Kiteworks via API.
- Familiarity with Splunk data ingestion and the Common Information Model.
- Experience with Cross‑Domain Solutions or data diodes in a DoD environment.
- Knowledge of Attribute-Based Access Control policy logic.
Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher) – required.
- CISSP or CASP+ CE – preferred.
- API or Cloud Development certifications (AWS or Azure) – preferred.
Clearance
- Active Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
