Job summary

Leidos Inc in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Senior Integration Engineer Team Lead to implement unique solutions for defense problems, including kinetic and directed energy platforms, radar, and sensor technologies.

You will work closely with customers and contractors to develop HWIL test platforms, analyze test data, and document verification results. The role requires hands‑on hardware/software integration, debugging, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 8–12 years of experience or MS with 6–10 years of experience
• Experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes
• Hands-on experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures
• Direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting, and testing
• Active DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Perform test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and debugging tools

• Occasionally work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds

Leidos Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer Team Lead to implement unique solutions for complex defense problems including kinetic and directed energy platforms, radar, and sensor technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
• Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.
• Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.
• Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
• Creating, modifying, and executing test plans and procedures to satisfy program requirements.
• Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
• Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
• The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
• Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
• Candidates must have direct, hands‑on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
• Active DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Five to eight years of experience with hardware and software integration, test planning, and execution.
• Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator, 1553 Bus Analyzer)
• Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
• Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
• Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Pay Range

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
