Qualifications

• Active Texas law license in good standing is required.
• 7+ years of defense litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediation.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and provide thorough reporting.
• Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure, and develop effective defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, and substantive client reports.
• Take and defend depositions, including fact and expert witnesses.
• Represent clients at hearings and mediations.
• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
• Provide timely case assessments, analysis, and client communication.

A growing multi-state defense litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney for its Dallas office. This opportunity offers a hybrid schedule (Thursdays and Fridays in office), meaningful case responsibility, courtroom experience, and professional growth within a collaborative team.

The firm handles complex litigation involving construction law, healthcare liability, oil and gas, product liability, trucking and transportation, catastrophic injury, premises liability, and insurance coverage.
