Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a seasoned attorney to lead insurance defense and civil litigation matters in the Nashville area. The role offers primary in-office work with remote flexibility and the chance to manage cases from evaluation to resolution.

You will develop litigation strategies, supervise discovery, draft pleadings, and represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials, contributing to a collaborative team in a respected law firm.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Bar license and J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 7+ years of civil litigation experience, with a strong background in insurance defense.
• Familiarity with Davidson County and surrounding Tennessee civil courts.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Strong academic credentials and a commitment to excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead insurance defense and civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution.

• Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

Location

Nashville, TN. Primarily in-office with remote flexibility. We’re looking for attorneys who live in Nashville or the immediate surrounding area and appreciate the balance of in-person collaboration and flexibility.

Note

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee, have substantial insurance defense and civil litigation experience, and be familiar with Davidson County and surrounding Tennessee civil courts.
