Job summary

Confidential Employer in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced insurance defense litigator to join a respected, established team. You will take ownership of substantive Law and Motion work and manage discovery through resolution, with four days in the office and one remote day per week.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, California Bar admission, and strong writing and analytical abilities. This position offers a competitive compensation package and long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong Law and Motion experience required.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities and deadlines.
• Strong communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in the Los Angeles office four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense litigation matters with a high level of independence.
• Draft and respond to substantive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive written arguments.
• Manage discovery and help drive cases strategically from inception toward resolution.
• Analyze case issues, exposure, and litigation strategy.
• Represent clients in hearings, conferences, and other litigation proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Manage deadlines and multiple active matters while maintaining high-quality work product.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation strategy.
