Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution seeks a Senior Insurance Coverage Attorney for its Chicago office on a remote basis. You will lead third party coverage analyses and advise insurer clients on strategy and risk exposure from day one, with meaningful ownership of matters and direct client interaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of dedicated coverage experience (10+ preferred), admission to the Illinois bar, a top-100 law school degree, and the ability to work in Chicago with a remote schedule (3 days

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of dedicated insurance coverage experience, with candidates around 10 years strongly preferred.
• Deep experience in third party coverage; sophisticated policyholder experience also considered where aligned.
• Admission to the Illinois bar or clear eligibility to become admitted in Illinois.
• A degree from a law school ranked in the top 100.
• Ability to work in the Chicago office on a remote schedule, typically 3 days in person.
• $225,000 base salary, with higher consideration for candidates bringing extensive relevant experience.
• Billable expectation of approximately 1,900 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support sophisticated third party insurance coverage analyses across multiple lines and industries.
• Advise insurer clients on claim strategy, risk exposure and policy wording interpretation in active disputes.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservations of rights and related strategic correspondence.
• Handle litigation tasks such as pleadings, dispositive motions, written discovery and mediation preparation.
• Partner closely with senior lawyers to manage client relationships and take substantive ownership of matters.
