Qualifications

• Strong experience handling sophisticated litigation matters with increasing levels of autonomy.
• Excellent legal research, writing and advocacy skills.
• Significant experience with dispositive motions and complex motion practice.
• Strong client-facing skills and a commercially minded approach.
• Trial experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage sophisticated insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.
• Take a leading role in significant motion practice, including motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions.
• Work closely with partners and colleagues on case strategy, complex legal issues and overall matter management.
• Develop strong client relationships and communicate legal and strategic issues in a clear, practical and commercially focused way.
• Work on a broad range of complex coverage disputes across different industries and policy types.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.
• Take an active role in business development, with the opportunity to develop your own client relationships and book of business over time.
• Work within a collaborative team that values mentorship, teamwork and professional development.

A growing litigation practice is looking to add a senior insurance coverage attorney with 6+ years of experience to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who is looking for meaningful responsibility, sophisticated matters and a clear path for long-term career progression.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation, with significant experience handling motion practice and drafting sophisticated legal briefs. Experience taking matters through trial is highly desirable, but not essential.

The role
