Job summary

Maryland Department of Labor seeks a Senior Plan Analyst for the FAMLI Insurance Plan Compliance team in Baltimore. The role reviews Insurance Plan Applications for compliance with laws and regulations, and coordinates with employers/insurers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, escalating noncompliance, and collaborating with management to ensure corrective action. Hybrid telework is offered with full state benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
• Substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.
• Substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree for the required experience.
• Substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, approves, or denies Insurance Plan Applications in accordance with Laws, Regulations, and guidance.
• Ensure Plan participating Employers/Insurers operate within the Laws and guidance for Insurance Plans.
• Utilizes Digital Services tools for monitoring compliance and internal communications.
• Reports noncompliance issues to Plan Analysis Assistant Manager.
• Provides documentation regarding noncompliance to the Plan Analysis Assistant Manager.
• Collaborates with Plan Analysis Assistant Manager to remedy noncompliance issues.
