Job summary

First MainStreet Insurance, a TrueNorth entity, is seeking a Senior Account Manager to nurture client relationships and manage a diverse portfolio of insurance needs in Sumner, IA. This role focuses on retention, service quality, and growth opportunities within a collaborative team.

The position emphasizes strong communication, relationship-building, and industry knowledge, with opportunities for licensing and professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service and/or customer relationship management.
• Desire to obtain license as required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Proven experience in customer service and/or customer relationship management (duplicate in list, kept once).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions.
• Exposure to agency management software tools, such as Epic.

Responsibilities

• Foster and maintain client relationships by managing a book of business that may or may not have Risk Advisor or Account Specialist support.
• Serve as a contributing member of a high-performance team.
• Regularly communicate with accounts to address concerns, gather feedback and identify opportunities for growth.
• Monitor and report information from clients to help minimize exposures.
• Seek opportunities to round out accounts and mitigate client risk through insurance coverage.
• Monitor account satisfaction and support high retention levels.
• Market new business and/or renewals, possibly with a Risk Advisor or independently.
• Accurately manage assigned account activity in the agency management system (EPIC) and meet deadlines.
