Job summary

Questpro Consultants LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, reconciliations, cash management, AR/AP, payroll accounting, tax payments, and operational reporting in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of insurance accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This role collaborates with external accountants and internal teams to maintain meticulous records

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the insurance industry.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, AR/AP, reconciliations, and cash management.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage bank, credit card, AR/AP, and account reconciliations.
• Handle collections and resolve account discrepancies.
• Process payroll-related accounting activity.
• Prepare weekly production and operational reports.
• Process and verify ACH and wire transactions.
• Coordinate tax payments and support month-end/year-end close.
• Work with external accountants on financial reporting and state notices.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
