Job summary

Valero Energy is seeking a Craftperson A - Instrumentation for our Wilmington/Los Angeles area facilities. The role involves maintaining and repairing electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, interpreting P&IDs, and coordinating work orders with safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of instrumentation experience, a high school diploma or GED, and is willing to work on-site. An Associate’s degree in instrumentation is preferred, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.
• Reads and interprets P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Plans and coordinates work orders, permits, and safety instructions.
• Uses test equipment and performs routine calibrations; maintains instrumentation loops.
• Performs work activities following safety instructions and environmental guidelines.
