Job summary

Valero Energy invites applications for Craftperson A - Instrumentation at the Wilmington Refinery. You will maintain and repair electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, interpret P&IDs, loop drawings and wiring schematics, and coordinate work orders with safety in mind.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of five years of instrumentation experience (associates degree preferred). On-site work is required, you must be eligible for a TWIC card, and overtime applies as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 5 years instrumentation experience is required.
• Associate's degree in instrumentation preferred.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of instrumentation math, units, variables, and measurements.
• Shows knowledge of flow, pressure, temperature, level instrumentation, and control power systems.
• Maintains and troubleshoots switches, meters, indicators, sensors, positioners, controllers and valves.
• Uses test equipment and performs routine calibrations; maintains instrumentation loops.
• Reads and interprets P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Plans and coordinates work orders, permits, and safety instructions.
