Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Instrumentation Lab Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina assisting in the processing of samples for both ongoing research and customer service needs. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the analyzing of samples through numerous instrumentation methods, to include but are not limited to HPLC, IC, FTIR, XRF, MP-AES, ICP-OES, UV-Vis, SEM, CVS, Cross Sectional Analysis, Color Spectrophotometry, Torque Tension and Tensiometry/Stalagmometry.

Job Requirements

  • Must have basic understanding of math and chemistry.
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry (titrations, pH, dilutions).
  • Functional experience with an expertise in at least one or more of the following: MP-AES, Ion Chromatography, and/or HPLC.
  • Ability to develop and validate methods.
  • Maintains instruments and equipment through routine maintenance schedules, including troubleshooting of test methods or instruments, repairs, or modifications.
  • Must be reliable, punctual and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of associate's degree required.
  • Scientific career experience in Chemistry or Biology preferred.
  • Experience with electroplating preferred.
