Job summary

Cornerstone Chemical Company in Waggaman, LA is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E) Technician to provide maintenance support, troubleshoot, and replace faulty instrumentation and electrical equipment in the assigned production area.

The role requires 5+ years of industrial experience, ability to read piping and instrument drawings, and willingness to work overtime and in PPE; opportunities to contribute to preventive maintenance and calibration of process control devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in an industrial facility environment or equivalent.
• Able to read piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, spec sheets, electrical schematics.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capable of working in PPE and overtime/call-out overtime.
• Capable of PLC programming and using electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot transformers, motors, lighting, transmitters, valves, and control devices.
• Calibrate industrial pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
• Replace switches, relays, transmitters, sensing devices, motors, and valves.
