Job summary

Microchip has an opening for a Senior Technician II-Instrumentation and Controls at the Gresham, OR Fab 4 site. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in a cleanroom environment, with night shift coverage on a compressed schedule.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with process controls, transmitters, and PLC-based systems and will support engineering and operations with timely response to alarms and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience with industrial facility operation and maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of plant systems and cleanroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facilities controls systems and equipment within cleanroom parameters.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Respond to life safety and control system alarms and document actions taken.
