Job summary

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to design, deploy, and operate control, protection, and diagnostic systems for plasma experiments. You will work with researchers, engineers, and staff to define projects from concept through testing and operation.

This role requires leadership across multi-disciplinary teams and hands-on experience with EPICS, SCADA, data archiving, and programming languages such as Python, C++, and LabVIEW.

Qualifications

• BS or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Test electronics, diagnose failures, and render repairs as needed.
• Design, maintain, and support instrumentation and control systems (60%).
• Lead data archiving and serving strategy for fusion experiments (15%).
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and define project scopes and schedules.
