Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Instrumentation Engineer to lead Instrumentation and Control activities across FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning in a global energy environment.

You will deliver instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control system designs (DCS/PLC/ESD). Strong leadership, client liaison and project execution skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Instrumentation and Control engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, offshore or energy projects.
• Proven FEED and detailed engineering project delivery within EPC/EPCM environments.
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control systems, DCS, PLC, ESD/IPS, FGS, and industrial comms.

Responsibilities

• Lead Instrumentation and Control engineering activities across FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction support and commissioning.
• Deliver and review instrument datasheets, specifications, I/O lists, cable schedules, loop diagrams and hook-up drawings.
• Develop instrumentation and control system designs including DCS, PLC, ESD/IPS, FGS, and machine monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership to Instrument Engineers and Designers to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, procurement and construction personnel.
• Support proposal development, engineering estimates, project planning and technical bid evaluations.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP workshops, constructability reviews and client meetings.
• Support site activities including surveys, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup and field engineering.
• Ensure work complies with codes, standards, project requirements and company procedures.
• Demonstrate change management understanding and apply scope variation processes.
