Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to join our team of experts delivering high-quality control systems for food & beverage, life sciences, and industrial clients. You will lead I&C design and estimation, collaborating with engineers and technicians across disciplines and with client teams to drive project success.

You bring five+ years of I&C leadership, Rockwell hardware/software experience, MEP familiarity, and a strong engineering

Qualifications

Five+ years of experience leading I&C design and estimation for programming phases.
Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware and software.
Experience with mechanical, electrical and process (MEP) systems and collaborating with MEP engineers/technicians.
Experience with multi-disciplinary large capital projects with owners/GCs/contractors/system integrators.
Solid understanding of design/build in engineering and construction.
Knowledge of process systems architecture, instrumentation, networking, PLC/I/O, P&IDs, data sheets, and SCADA.
Willingness to travel for project requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and design control systems for food & beverage, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
Provide engineering solutions for control systems and PLC/SCADA interfaces.
Lead design and estimation for preliminary and detailed project phases.
Conduct system and facility engineering job walk assessments.
Develop engineering solutions for equipment optimization.
Design systems to monitor pressure, temp, humidity, and flow.
Conduct root cause failure analyses.
Document process requirements for instrumentation equipment.
Interface with design team members and client representatives.
Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise.
