Job summary

Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Instrument and Electronics Technician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems across processing equipment.

You will handle extrusion controls, motor drive systems, HV systems, and plant utilities with a focus on safety and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical drawings, PLCs, and VFDs, and includes training junior staff, with a rotating shift pattern and a strong emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• Technical school or equivalent with 5 years related work experience.
• High school diploma with 7 years related work experience.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow all APNA safety guidelines and procedures; plan safety into projects and tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of processing and support equipment.
• Document repairs/PMs with eMaintenance system.
• Train other maintenance personnel on I&E systems.
• Interpret and update electrical drawings.
• Troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment controls up to 480v.
