Job summary

S&B is seeking an Instrument/Electrical Designer to perform moderately to difficult drafting and design assignments under minimal supervision. The role requires applying advanced drafting techniques in accordance with company and industry standards and codes, with detailed instructions from the supervisor for basic design concepts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with vocational/technical training in basic drafting technology.
• 2-year degree in drafting/design technology acceptable.
• Minimum 6 years related experience, or 5 years with a 2-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares moderately-difficult to difficult drawings for a project phase using manual and CAD methods.
• Performs discipline design tasks applying engineering concepts and calculations.
• Reviews fabricators' prints for conformance to specs.
• Supports field assignments as required.
