Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering and 7+ years of related experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) is recommended.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company and site safety policies.
• Lead small and large controls projects from technical and project management perspectives.
• Lead controls design for multi-discipline projects.
• Prepare control systems (DCS/PLC) and CEMS and instrumentation contracts.
• Perform control system retrofits and migrations.
• Develop detailed scope documents for upgrade/migration execution.
• Prepare instrumentation design deliverables (lists, data sheets, layouts, 3D modeling).
• Prepare controls design deliverables (I/O lists, logic diagrams, alarms, programming).
• Prepare electrical design deliverables (cable schedules, schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Participate in P&ID development and equipment subcontract specs.
• Manage instrumentation and control system contracts including QA and submittals.
