Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Instrument & Control Technician II (Senior Technician) to operate, test and maintain a DCS and CEMS for a simple cycle gas power plant in Colorado Springs.

You will handle calibration, troubleshooting and documentation while coordinating job planning with the team. The role requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent power plant experience, plus strong knowledge of instrumentation, electrical principles and PC-based reporting.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent power plant experience.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and CEMS controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, maintain, and administer DCS and CEMS for a simple cycle gas plant.
• Maintain instrumentation and control devices and calibrations.
• Review P&ID drawings and logic diagrams and prepare reports.
• Coordinate planning, methods and reporting for assigned work; ensure safety and compliance.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance; travel as needed.
