Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks an Instrument & Control Technician II (Senior Technician) for our Colorado Springs, CO facility. You will perform operations, testing, maintenance and admin tasks on a DCS and CEMS system within a simple cycle gas power plant.

Required are a two-year technical degree with 5+ years in power/industrial electrical, instrumentation or electronics, plus experience with DCS, GE Mark VI and ABB INFI 90.

Qualifications

• A two-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years of power plant and/or industrial electrical, instrumentation or electronics experience is required.
• Experience with DCS systems, GE Mark VI and ABB Bailey INFI 90 preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumentation test equipment and calibration procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Administers O&M processes and procedures as required by the O&M Manager, including on-condition tasks and cost/benefit evaluation.
• Complete the O&M Tech I qualification within 2 years of hire.
• Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation and control devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair DCS/IC systems and field devices.
• Review P&ID drawings and logic diagrams; prepare reports as needed.
• Coordinate job planning, methods, standards and reporting for assigned work.
• Operate plant equipment, support safety and regulatory compliance.
• Occasional travel may be required and all site records kept up to date.
