Job summary

Quantum-Si is seeking an experienced instrument control software engineer to join our instrument software team, focusing on precision hardware control, imaging, and automation across Linux-based systems. You will work across the stack from low-level hardware integration to distributed services and user-facing apps, contributing to architecture, performance, and scalability.

The role requires 5+ years in C# development, .NET 6+, Linux familiarity, and strong collaboration in Agile environments;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software development with focus on C#.
• Experience with .NET 6+ and cross-platform apps.
• Familiarity with Linux OS (Ubuntu preferred).
• Proficient Git and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming and real-time data acquisition.
• Knowledge of RPC frameworks like gRPC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for the instrument with performance and reliability.
• Integrate data acquisition, motion control, signal processing, and UI for a complex instrument.
• Collaborate with systems integration and engineering to define new functionality.
• Refactor architecture to improve maintainability and reduce debt.
• Document designs, code, and processes for clarity.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with timely resolutions.
