Job summary

V2X Professional Services (VPS) is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) for the East Hartford/Middletown, CT area. You will analyze, design, and develop learning solutions across media, provide adult learning guidance, and maintain training platforms to support workforce readiness.

You will lead live/virtual sessions, coordinate site updates with developers, craft communications, and support audits.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience developing training in multiple delivery media using instructional design concepts (ADDIE)
Strong writing and professional communication skills (grammar, spelling, content organization)
Ability to analyze/design/develop creative learning solutions for projects or curricula
Design/develop content across eLearning, instructor-led, and virtual classroom
Manage relationships with customers and SMEs, revise standards for training development
Experience with LCMS/LMS/SCORM and adult learning theory/practice
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
Mastery of training development software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora Inspire

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, develop, and maintain learning solutions across media
Provide guidance on adult learning best practices and process improvement
Maintain platform functions to support workforce training and qualification (objectives, system records, reporting) and provide user support
Instruct users at all levels on system use and best utilization
Conduct live and virtual presentations and demonstrations
Update program website and coordinate site updates with developers
Draft communications and manage email distribution lists
Support audits and onboarding
Demonstrate motivation, creativity, and leadership while adapting to new challenges
