Senior Installation Tech Specialist

The Opportunity:

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer by delivering IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are leading an exciting technological transformation by designing, developing, implementing, and operating cutting-edge solutions, including continuous service improvement through modernization of IT system infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and motivated Senior Installation Tech Specialist to support the mission objectives of the Defense Intelligence Agency. This position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Information Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team responsible for the installation, configuration, and deployment of end-user devices such as desktops, VOIP phones, tablets, and peripherals.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for device installation and configuration.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to end-user devices and escalate as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of end-user devices and accessories, ensuring adequate stock for deployments and replacements.
  • Configure and register voice and video communication devices in Cisco Call Manager.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on installation and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with software teams to ensure proper application installation and configuration on devices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all activities and stay current with latest device technologies, recommending improvements.
  • Participate in planning for large-scale device rollouts or upgrades.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deployments and support interactions.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of IT support experience, with at least 3 years in end-user device deployment and management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Cisco voice/video solutions, and common business applications.
  • Experience in investigating system failures and performing root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices for end-user devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • 8140 Certification such as CompTIA Sec+.
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in classified IT environments, terminology, equipment lifecycle, and IT Asset Management.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM or similar.
  • Experience influencing policies, practices, and procedures.

Pay Range:

Range: $68,400 - $143,700, influenced by location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer competitive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, education, and time off. Learn more here.

This position can be in multiple locations; the salary range is a national average.
