Job summary

Air Force Inspection Agency (FO) in Arlington, VA seeks a GS-13/14 level specialist to manage inspection program integration and develop future Department of the Air Force inspection requirements within the Inspections Directorate (AFIA/IR).

The role requires knowledge of AF and DoD inspection policies, PEM requirements, and experience overseeing an inspection function. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for coordinating with PA and other officials.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AF and DoD administrative and inspection policies, procedures, techniques, and practices.
• Experience in managing an inspection oversight function.
• Familiarity with the Air Force Acquisition process and PEM requirements.
• Knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for IG-enterprise assessment and improvement.
• Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing; interact with officials at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct inspection functions personally or through delegated supervisors.
• Mentor, motivate, and appraise staff within the organization.
• Interact with Public Affairs and Congressional staff as needed.
• Analyze inspection reports to identify issues, trends, and inform recommendations.
