Base pay range: $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

Job Summary

The Senior Inspector Field Operations is responsible for providing on-site guidance and technical assistance related to inspection and repair of AITX owned railcars, including developing shop audit plans, ensuring compliance with repair policies, and creating technical audit reports.

Job Duties

• Physically inspect railcars and create reports on car condition and compliance
• Ensure shop compliance with repair instructions
• Review parts, materials, and records related to repairs
• Inspect coatings and determine repair needs
• Ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols followed
• Interact with team members and external partners
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in work areas
• Participate in joint inspections and negotiations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma and 2 years of college or equivalent railcar experience
• Knowledge of repair methods, inspection processes, and relevant regulations
• Knowledge of weld inspection and NDT methods is a plus
• Proficiency with inspection tools and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Ability to pass background checks and physical tests
• Willingness to travel 75% or more
• Physical ability to climb, crawl, and lift heavy objects
