Applicants must have a BS degree and licensure (CMIT Level 4, NICET II, or a Connecticut PE) or be working toward it; strong record-keeping, communication, and computer skills are required, with experience in AASHTOWare Project and SharePoint preferred.

Qualificações

GM2 is seeking a Senior Inspector with a minimum of four years of relevant construction inspection experience to provide field and office work on transportation and infrastructure development projects in Connecticut. The candidate must have BS degree, NICET II, CMIT Level 4, or a Connecticut PE license. An understanding of the CTDOT contract administration process is preferred and a working knowledge of record keeping including Daily Work Reports, Cost-Plus tracking, etc. and AASHTOWare Project and COMPASS (SharePoint) experience, is desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring construction activities at a variety of job sites in field locations in the greater Connecticut area.
• Consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project managers regarding plans, specifications, equipment, materials, and methods/practices involved in construction.
• Assisting Resident Engineers and other construction engineers/inspectors with a variety of related tasks.

Requirements

• The ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity and engineering computations.
• The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• High School diploma required; AS, BS, or MS college degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• CMIT Level 4, NICET II or higher or PE license.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.
