Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Inland Marine Underwriting to lead production underwriting for Contractors Equipment, Motor Truck Cargo, Warehouse Legal Liability, and Miscellaneous Property Floaters in the New York/New Jersey market. The role focuses on underwriting profitability, client service, and broker relationships to expand MSIG USA's Inland Marine presence.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with claims, actuarial, and risk engineering, and apply sound underwriting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; CPCU, ARM, AU or other designations strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of Inland Marine underwriting experience including production responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in Contractors Equipment, Motor Truck Cargo, Warehouse Legal Liability and Floaters.

Responsibilities

• Produce, underwrite, and service profitable Inland Marine business.
• Underwrite complex Inland Marine risks with appropriate risk selection and pricing.
• Monitor results, loss trends, and market developments to guide decisions.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, risk engineering and other stakeholders.
