State of Louisiana's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries seeks an Inland Fisheries biologist supervisor based in Monroe to oversee statewide Inland Fisheries research and management within a large geographic region.

You will supervise staff, plan field activities, monitor sport fish populations, restore habitats, and coordinate public access projects while ensuring compliance with division protocols and safety standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science, marine science, environmental science, wildlife or fisheries, animal science, forestry, or natural resources plus four years of experience in wildlife or fisheries, forestry, or environmental science.
• Non-thesis master's degree in a biological science plus three years of required specialized experience.
• Master's with thesis or doctorate in a biological science plus two years of required specialized experience.

Mansioni

• Responsible for implementing standardized sport fish population monitoring and aquatic community assemblage monitoring.
• Responding to all fish kills per Fisheries division protocol and implementing aquatic habitat restoration projects.
• Developing public access improvements projects and providing technical information to the public.
