Job summary

Antenna Research Associates, Inc. is seeking an Inkjet Application Engineer to productize a printing capability for our custom printer used in flexible electronics. You will bridge R&D to production ramp up, optimize inkjet and micro-pen delivery, and troubleshoot hardware/software for DoD and commercial applications.

US Citizenship is required. You will support field service teams, deliver training, and produce SOPs and technical reports while maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing, incl. 2+ years in electronic/RF/Microwave components.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; knowledge of piezo/thermal printhead tech and waveform tuning.
• Troubleshoot industrial printers and refine print file manipulations with standard software tools.
• Familiar with motion control, digital imaging tools, and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates to verify print quality, cycle time, and compatibility.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision components.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune waveforms for precision in flexible/RF electronics.
• Collaborate with sales to scope customer requirements, design custom print configurations, and provide cost estimates.
• Conduct PoC evaluations to demonstrate system capabilities on specialized electronics substrates.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to white papers, proposals, and demonstrations for DoD and government R&D contracts.
• Apply electronics knowledge to resolve complex fluidic, hardware, software, or integration issues for field service teams.
