Schaefer Plastics NA LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Process Technician II to independently set up and optimize high-volume injection molding processes. You will manage mold changes, program adjustments, and process improvements while supporting safety, quality, and uptime metrics.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, mentoring Level I technicians, and ensuring continuous production with minimal scrap. Local candidates with background in injection molding are preferred.

Competenze

• Typically three+ years of injection molding Process Technician experience.
• Ability to independently set molds, start machines, establish stable processes, and troubleshoot defects.
• Experience with robots, cranes, heaters, and material-handling systems.

Mansioni

• Independently complete mold changes, machine startups, job changes, and spec changes across equipment.
• Analyze molding conditions and adjust process parameters to restore stability.
• Troubleshoot molds, robots, hydraulics, thermocouples, water, and related systems.
• Download, edit, and validate machine and robot programs per change-control procedures.
• Use meters and diagrams to isolate problems and verify fixes.
• Coach Level I technicians on standard work and safety.
