Job summary

Viant Medical Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to develop manufacturing processes for plastic injection molded components. You will establish injection molded cycles, define pre/post molded processes, and use statistical techniques to control variability.

You will support production by troubleshooting molding processes and tooling, and by defining mold maintenance requirements. You will lead process development to optimize efficiency, yields, and productivity while ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Excellent project management skills with multiple projects.
• 6 years’ experience in high-volume injection molding environment and mold-related activities.
• Strong injection molding troubleshooting and process optimization experience.
• Knowledge of part and mold design, mold fabrication, and resins.
• Familiarity with SPC, TQM, JIT and DFM principles.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs/methods to optimize productivity and reduce cycle time, losses, and costs.
• Develop and execute project plans; document and implement with plant personnel.
• Establish process development technical guidelines.
• Ensure manufacturing requirements are properly developed with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure processes adhere to ISO 14385 standards.
• Continuously improve processes using DOE and other methods.
• Support product development and assist with new product launches.
