Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; 8–12 years in injection/blow molding or tool design; 2–4 years at CVI/CETI.
• Expert in scientific injection molding processes.
• RJG Master Molder I certification or equivalent.
• RJG Master Molder II or equivalent preferred.
• Guide less experienced engineers through IQ, OQ, PQ validation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Proquis.
• Able to create and present technical papers to management.
• Fluent in electronic CAD systems: NX, SolidWorks, Pro/E, OSD.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Supports IQ, OQ, and PQ processes.
• Trains team members in process selection and troubleshooting.
• Leads interdivisional projects.
• Approves molding engineering docs and reports based on Moldflow results.
• Presents department updates to Steering Committee.
• Reviews quotes for new molding projects.
• Acts as an expert in injection molding from a scientific perspective.
