Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Mold Technician to lead machine setup and changeovers, troubleshoot processes, and ensure quality parts are produced on schedule. The role involves mentoring operators, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a technical certification or associate degree and substantial hands-on experience with injection molding, mold changes, and basic maintenance. Local travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree may be required.
• Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Sets up molding machine parameters to produce quality parts.
• Troubleshoots and performs process changes on injection molding machine; performs mold changes quickly and efficiently.
• Ensures machines run efficiently and parts stay within standards.
• Sets up auxiliary and secondary equipment as required.
• Trains operators to run production parts and monitor rates and quality.
• Performs basic machine maintenance and replaces standard mold components.
• Participates in root cause problem solving in process and production areas.
