Job summary

Dayton Superior is hiring for a molding technician to support onboarding and ongoing production in our White Cap division. You will manage mold changes, set up and startup of injections, and troubleshoot processes to maintain optimum cycle times and part quality.

Under limited supervision, you will train operators, replace mold components, and contribute to safety and quality programs while collaborating with maintenance and production teams to meet daily targets at our Utah facility.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
• Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Set up molding machine parameters to produce quality acceptable parts for production.
• Troubleshoot and perform process changes as needed on the injection molding machine. Perform mold changes quickly and efficiently as scheduled; including robot set up and programming.
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and producing parts within standard.
• Set up of all auxiliary and secondary equipment as required.
• Train operators in running production parts, monitoring their rates, and part quality. Set up new tools and assist in establishing and documenting optimum process.
• Perform basic machine maintenance. Replace standard components within the mold such as inserts, springs, ejector pins, and fittings.
• Participates in root cause problem solving activities in process and production areas. Supports all areas of production as needed. Ensure adherence to all required safety and quality standards.
