Job summary

Black Eagle Defense is seeking a System Administrator II to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices at Fort Meade, MD. You will perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and help manage system infrastructure to ensure reliability.

The role requires a technical Bachelor's degree and substantial SysAdmin experience, with strong hands-on skills in UNIX and Windows environments, and familiarity with security tools

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of SysAdmin experience.
• Substitution: 5 additional years of SysAdmin experience may replace the degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide escalation status updates to agency management and internal customers.
• Configure UNIX and Windows operating systems and improve system reliability.
