Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for Hardware and Infrastructure Platform Security in the United States. The role centers on owning outcomes, guiding multiple teams, and delivering secure infrastructure software across Kirkland, WA and Sunnyvale, CA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development.
7 years of experience building software for infrastructure security.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role, and 1 year as a manager of managers.

Responsibilities

Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals.
Develop the long-term technical goal and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams.
Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
Lead the engineering strategy for assigned areas of Google’s production infrastructure security, defining architectures encompassing hardware roots of trust, firmware, and system integrity.
