Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or compute/storage/hardware.
• Experience with Infrastructure and Production Systems.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience leading engineering teams in distributed transactional storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow a team of software engineers. Drive hiring, onboarding, career development, mentorship, and performance management while fostering a high-trust, high-performance, collaborative team culture.
• Define and drive the strategic direction and engineering roadmaps aligning technical investments with Google Home’s long-term goals.
• Partner with client teams to establish clear roles and responsibilities for horizontal infrastructure.
