Job summary

Apex is expanding its Infrastructure Practice and seeking a senior leader to build and grow our infrastructure (water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, civil engineering) business in Western Massachusetts. This is a strategic growth role for a senior, client-facing professional with a strong municipal network and an active book of business.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of municipal infrastructure experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred in MA.
• Proven ability to develop markets and grow revenue.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of Apex's infrastructure services within your designated local market.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
• Leverage client relationships and market insight to position Apex as a trusted regional partner.
• Collaborate with leadership to align local efforts with broader infrastructure strategy.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, identify new opportunities, and manage proposals.
• Drive cross‑selling of environmental, construction, and compliance services.
• Represent Apex at associations and conferences.
• Oversee delivery of municipal projects, ensuring quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
