Job summary

Peraton is seeking Infrastructure Engineers to support the CIS3 program for the Department of Energy. Roles focus on ramp up, build out, and ongoing operations of a new data center environment in Northern Virginia, including storage, networking, security, and virtualization across enterprise IT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience or High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q/SCI clearance.
• Demonstrated experience supporting one or more of the functional areas listed above
• Experience supporting complex enterprise, government, or similarly large scale IT environments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work effectively with cross functional technical teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite as required by the customer and program

Responsibilities

• Depending on the assigned functional area, responsibilities may include designing, implementing, administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Engineers may support highly available and mission critical environments while working closely with other infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering teams.
• We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Storage/Backup, Senior Network, Linux, Windows/AD/Virtualization, F5, Exchange, SolarWinds, Palo Alto, Splunk, ACAS, Trellix.
