Job summary

Salient is building AI agents for regulated financial services. We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own the systems powering Salient at scale and ensure reliability, performance, and developer velocity across the stack.

You’ll lead architectural decisions, design the cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and collaborate with the modeling team to optimize GPU workloads and CI/CD, enabling Salient to process millions of transactions daily with high availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 2+ years in infra/platform roles.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Expert in infrastructure-as-code and automation.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD in production.
• Track record building high-availability, high-throughput systems with observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions and technical reviews for infrastructure initiatives.
• Design, build, and own Salient's cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Develop scalable harnesses to run AI-enabled workloads reliably.
• Collaborate with modeling teams to optimize GPU serving and performance.
• Define SLOs, monitor systems, and manage incident response and postmortems.
• Own developer platform investments: CI/CD, tooling, environments, infra abstractions.
• Establish infra best practices and technical standards across the org.
• Reduce technical debt in infrastructure for long-term scalability.
