Senior Infrastructure Engineer, (Devops)

We're located in San Francisco and New York, and work in-person or remotely.As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Devops at Caldera, you will:Own significant components of Caldera's core infrastructureArchitect and develop backend systems to ensure the smooth operation of Caldera chainsImprove our DevOps pipeline, which allows Caldera chains to be deployed reliably and securelyIncrease the reliability of our infrastructure by continuously improving the observability stackMaintain and enhance the security posture of our cloud infrastructureAWS Security:Develop, deploy, and maintain security measures within AWS environments to safeguard against various security threats.Adopt and enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM policy management, VPC setups, and network protection.

Kubernetes Security:Enhance and protect Kubernetes clusters to mitigate vulnerabilities and attacks.Implement network policies, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and security contexts to solidify security measures in Kubernetes.

You might be a fit for this role if you...Have 4+ years of engineering experienceHave experience writing backend services in Go or TypescriptHave experience with cloud technologies, especially Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, HelmHands-on experience with cloud / infrastructure providers, including AWS, Vercel, and CloudflareKeen eye for security, solid understanding of threat modeling and secure system architectureAre confident with performance optimization, identifying bottlenecks and scalability concernsHave familiarity with observability tools like Grafana or DatadogBonus points if you...Are familiar with how blockchains like Ethereum or Bitcoin work under the hoodAre up-to-date with Ethereum scaling solutions such as sidechains or rollupsHave an understanding of cryptography primitives, such as hash functions or digital signaturesHave built Ethereum "dapps" before
