Job summary

Digital Turbine is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems and data platforms. You will drive OneDT standardization, implement GitOps adoption, and develop Kubernetes-based infrastructure with Spark-on-K8s and Databricks tooling.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud expertise (AWS/GCP), and strong on-call experience with a focus on reliability and cost efficiency. Hybrid work model in a US location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure or backend engineering building distributed systems.
• Cloud experience with AWS or GCP; Azure a plus.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Familiarity with data/ML infra: Spark, Kafka, Databricks.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, GitOps, and observability tooling.
• Operational maturity: owned production systems, on-call, and reliability improvements.
• Nice to have experience leading large migrations or platform standardization.
• Background in high-throughput, low-latency systems such as real-time bidding or event streaming.
• Cost governance (FinOps) at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems and data platforms for reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Drive the OneDT platform standardization: GitOps/ArgoCD adoption, unified CI/CD pipelines, and a clear developer-ownership model across business lines.
• Build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including Spark-on-K8s and data/ML platform tooling (e.g., Databricks ecosystems).
• Implement MLOps and data-pipeline capabilities - training, deployment, and serving infrastructure - in partnership with ML and Data teams.
• Champion observability, automation, and cost-optimization initiatives that improve reliability while reducing spend.
• Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response and blameless postmortems, and prevent recurrence through automation and platform improvements.
