Knot is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and maintain our cloud-based network infrastructure. You will own API infrastructure serving hundreds of requests per second, and drive design decisions with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of network engineering experience at a software company, preferably a startup.
• Considerable experience with GCP and kubernetes.
• Track record of automating infrastructure and deployments (e.g. Terraform).
• Proficiency with Go or TypeScript and gRPC/Protobuf; knowledge of IP convergence networks, GCP VPC, load balancers, and IAM.
• Strong coding practices and ability to foster quality software processes.
• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment and grow professionally.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, deploy, document and manage our cloud-based network infrastructure.
• Own and maintain API infrastructure servicing high request rates.
• Lead technical decisions with design justification and cross-team coordination.
• Learn and anticipate long-term infrastructure needs.
• Resolve complex technical problems and communicate escalations.
• Support and maintain existing infrastructure to ensure high service levels.
