Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the Army Research Laboratory's IT modernization and support services in Adelphi, Maryland.

The role is on-site with relocation assistance available. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise infrastructure modernization, technology strategy, and cybersecurity, partnering with government leadership and engineering teams to drive automation, RMF alignment, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience supporting, engineering, architecting, or modernizing enterprise IT environments.
• Experience conducting technology assessments, architecture reviews, infrastructure analyses, and modernization planning activities.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, identity and access management, networking, storage, virtualization, endpoint management, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor on enterprise infrastructure modernization, engineering, and technology strategy initiatives.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure, operational processes, and technology implementations to identify opportunities for modernization, automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
• Research and assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor solutions relevant to DoD, research, and enterprise environments.
• Develop technical assessments, business cases, cost‑benefit analyses, and technology recommendations for Government leadership.
• Analyze and evaluate technologies across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms; identity services; networking; storage; virtualization; endpoint management; cybersecurity; and cloud environments.
• Develop modernization roadmaps and strategic recommendations aligned with mission, security, operational, and budget requirements.
