Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain the corporate IT footprint across servers, storage, and cloud services. You will act as a senior technical authority, mentor junior engineers, and drive automation with IaC tools to improve reliability and security.

You will lead complex infrastructure projects, coordinate with security and stakeholders, and help build disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an infrastructure engineering role with knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure components (networking, virtualization, storage, cloud computing, domain services).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience designing, operating and troubleshooting large VMware estates or alternate virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain corporate infrastructure, including servers, storage, domain services, cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Act as a senior technical authority for the team, providing guidance, design reviews and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design to handover, on time, within scope and to a high standard.
• Own the resolution of complex incidents and problems, leading root cause analysis and driving lasting fixes.
• Build and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities for critical systems, including regular testing.
• Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Build security into designs and solutions, collaborating with security teams for policy and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver solutions aligned with objectives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards and runbooks.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support as required.

You will be a hands-on technical expert, helping to design, build and run the corporate IT infrastructure that keeps the group companies productive and secure.
