AIIB’s Financial Institutions and Funds Clients Department, Global (FIF), seeks an Investment Officer to originate, structure, and execute infrastructure debt transactions with financial sponsors across AIIB members, with a focus on green and sustainable projects.

The role requires hands-on experience in financial modeling, credit analysis, and transaction execution, plus ability to work across jurisdictions and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to close deals.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of relevant debt financing experience in infrastructure finance.
• Advanced degree in finance, economics, business administration; CFA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and emerging markets preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with ability to close transactions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to origination, structuring, and execution of financial sponsor‑backed green and sustainable infrastructure debt transactions.
• Undertake detailed financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk‑return assessment for investment papers.
• Conduct due diligence across commercial; financial; legal; ESG and technical workstreams with internal/external partners.
• Negotiate term sheets, financing agreements, and other transaction documents with sponsors and lenders.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant tracking, and risk rating updates; support co‑investment strategies.
